       What are we learning?

Dear Parents,
We hope you are having a wonderful week. This week children will learn about Christmas stories. They will discover the Polar Express, Santa Claus and Rudolf, the reindeer stories. Children will also be encouraged to share stickers and books.

Through practical actions we keep enlightening kids about Christmas stories. We have scheduled exciting activities related to this theme so children can continue learning through fun experiences. Year-Round Activities
Student of the Week & Traveling Pet

Please make sure to sign up your child for these beautiful activities as these 2 are the children's favorites! These activities allow every child to create and share memories with their classmates. Student of the week  and Traveling Pet from January to the end of the School Year.

As you know, every week, a child is given a set week that he/she is the student of the week. On Monday of their week, the student of the week should bring a poster and a book created with family pictures, favorite books, sports, hobbies, animals and other interests. Parents will pick a day to present a banner to the classroom. The student of the week may also bring favorite toys and books to school so they can share it with classmates.

As for the Traveling Pet activity, the classroom pet will spend a whole week with the child and family. During that week, parents and the child will have fun together with a new member of the family while providing love and care to the pet. Our pet loves to read at night, go to the park, visit museums, give hugs and kisses! However, the pet does not like taking a bath as he can get sick. Parents and children will enjoy bonding time and making new memories, and the child will be very excited to share all the memories with his/her classmates. In their week, parents and the child should bring a collage of pictures and a written paper containing a brief description of what they did with the pet. Parents should make sure to place the collage inside the traveling pet bag.

Sign up for both activities today! Sign-up sheets are available at the entrance of the classroom.

Rhymes

#1
¿Qué es la navidad?
Pregunté a mamá
Un día muy dulce como el mazapán
¿Qué es la navidad?
Pregunté a papá
Un día muy lindo donde aprendemos a dar
¿Qué es la navidad?
Pregunté a mi abuela
El día que deseamos salud amor y paz

#2
El Señor Invierno
se viste de blanco
Se pone el abrigo
Porque está temblando
Se encuentra la lluvia
Llorando, llorando
Y también el viento
Que viene soplando

Riddles

#1
De verde me visto cada diciembre
Y los niños disfrutan poniéndome
Adornos y luces de colores.
Árbol de Navidad

#2
Cuando hay nieve podemos jugar
Grande o pequeño me puedes crear
Me pones un gorro y una bufanda al revés
Una nariz de zanahoria y brazos con ramas también
Muñeco de nieve
