What we are learning?

Dear Parents,

We hope you are having a beautiful week. We are excited to welcome all students to our new school year 2018-2019.  This month our theme is “My School and I”. This coming week children will experience and explore the school, our school routine, and classroom. Children will also learn about our classroom rules and their responsibilities and we will foster empathy, respect, and harmony among children. It will be a week of adaptation and adjustment.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through fun experiences.

Thank you for letting us play such an important role in your child’s life and we hope you have a great weekend.

Holidays & Upcoming Events

• Teacher Work Day on Monday, August 13th, 2018. School will be closed.

• School Year 2018 - 2019 starts on Tuesday, August 14th, 2018.

• Labor Day on Monday, September 3rd, 2018. School will be closed.

Friendly Reminders

• Wash your hands and your child’s hands when entering the classroom and help your child to find his/her seat.

• Read your child’s journal, blogs, and Friday Newsletter. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us in case you have any comment or any question about your child’s development or any notes/comments made in your child’s journal.

• Avoid bringing your child with items that can cause distraction such as toys, necklaces, bracelets, watches, etc. This is needed to help him/her concentrate on the scheduled activities at school.

• Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has an extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.

• Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing and a blanket for nap time.

• Make sure to take the blanket home on Fridays for laundry and bring it back on Monday.

• Make sure to have enough pull-ups or diapers in the cubby for the day, if your child has not been potty-trained yet.

• Label all bottles and food that you bring to preschool for your child with your child’s name and the date it was prepared and drop it in the kitchen. Please keep in mind we are a nut free environment.

• Do not bring your child to school if the child has a fever of over 101F or any contagious conditions.
